Today, Jeelnas Valve will introduce the operating principle of pneumatic globe valves to you

The family of pneumatic valves is also a super large family, with pneumatic gate valves and other common types of valves. Today, we will talk about one of the family members - pneumatic globe valves.

Pneumatic globe valve is a combination of globe valve and pneumatic actuator, similar to the combination of pneumatic ball valve. Generally speaking, globe valves belong to forced sealing valves, which apply pressure at the starting point to tightly fit the sealing surface of the valve disc and the valve seat, thereby achieving the purpose of preventing medium flow or regulating medium flow rate.

By rotating the handwheel (pneumatic, manual, electric, turbo, etc.), the valve disc is driven to operate by the lifting motion of the valve stem, thereby achieving the purpose of adjustment and blocking (connection). Generally, when the handwheel rotates clockwise, the working medium enters through the channel below the valve disc. It should be noted that at this time, the sealing force applied must be equal to or greater than the sum of the necessary pressure on the sealing surface and the upward force of the medium, in order to ensure that the forced sealing surface does not leak.

As a type of pneumatic valve, globe valves are widely used due to their low friction between sealing surfaces during opening and closing, durability, and reliable shut-off function.
